One of the prime draws for visitors to San Antonio, Texas is the city’s famed River Walk, an area that offers shopping, dining, barge tours of the river … and a little attraction called the Alamo. I was there recently for a conference and used every spare moment to check out this lovely urban area. Developed in the late 1960’s, the city-center destination offers enough that tourists could spend several days just exploring this one area – and, in fact, United’s Hemisphere magazine suggests you do just that, spotlighting River Walk in a “Three Perfect Days” article.
