Have you ever been in a situation where you lost your luggage? Once they didn't bring my suitcase with me, I reported it and the next morning they delivered it to my house. (Well, the house I was staying at, in Berlin). Has that happened to you? What did you do?

Friends of mine who came from Denmark lost their medication when their luggage was sent to the wrong destintation. One week later, it was sent to the house where they were staying. They called the compnay twice before things began moving along.

WOW! That was a big inconvenience! I guess I was very lucky that the whole thing happened in Germany. They are extreme when it comes to do things "the right way"... and at least that time the did it right away.

I once nearly missed a connection in Atlanta due to my flight being late.. I made the connecting flight, but my luggage did not. The next day the luggage magically appeared in my hotel room. The airline delivered it to my hotel early in the morning and someone brought it up to my room while we were out that day. It could have been a very bad experience but it worked out well and I was very satisfied with the way it was handled.

Wow, I have to say that you were very lucky there indeed! I haven't had luggage disappear "by accident" but I've had stuff stolen.

So far, nobody has stolen anything from my suitcases nor my luggage. But I guess I would be very mad, specially if I'm in a foreign country and all of a sudden I have no clothes!
