Hey and good morning everyone! I was just wondering if anyone ever damaged a rented car. If so, what happened? I've never damaged one, thankfully, haha, but I was just wondering. And what kind of car did you damage also?

I have never damaged a car but I have driven on some roads in a rental car that I should not have.

If you are woried about about liability with a rental car, chack with your car insurance agent. Some car insurance covers you for damages and liability even when you are driving someone else's car. Also, charging with an American Express covers some damages- be sure to check with them so that you can get the details on what might be covered.

Funny you should ask my husband and I total out a car at thanksgiving in africa....not a good day but if you have a mastercard they may cover the insurance for you just check with your cc co. Safe travels

Oh, no! That'd be such a horrible thing to happen on a vacation, and in a different country too! How scary! Good tip though about checking with your credit card... I never would've thought of that!

We had a car broken into in Hawaii, but no broken glass, just some scratches and a little bent trim. We weren't charged, but I can't remember who paid.
