I've never been on a cruise, but they seem to me like they would be a little boring. Am I wrong?

Cruises are packed full with activities for adults and children. With nightly entertainment and superb dining, as well as interaction with other travelers, I'm not sure boredom is even something I could imagine.

To me, a five day cruise of sunning, relaxing and simply enjoying the time away from real life would be a pleasure.

Don't think of a cruise as being "stuck" on a little boat. Rather think of it as a floating, Vegas-like, shimmering city at sea. At any given moment you can be watching a movie or live performance, playing in the casino, attending lectures on ports of call, shopping, eating, watching the beautiful ocean glide by outside your window, attending an art auction, singing karaoke, meeting Mr. or Ms. Right in an intimate little bar, reading, etc.

And THAT'S just at sea. When your ship docks (most major cruises offer at least four or five points of call per cruise) you can choose to take any of a number of fascinating tours to soak up the local culture, or you can strike off on your own (following the ship's crew's advice about safety, of course!).

Bored? More likely, you'll be flustered trying to find enough hours in the day to squeeze in all that activity.
