I took a 3-day Caribbean Cruise with my family in 2001. (It was part of a vacation pacakge, 4 days at the resorts, 3 days on the cruise.) My nieces and nephews were at the perfect age to enjoy it, and enjoy it they did! The staff was friendly and very patient with the little ones. All the activities were nicely planned and appropriate for the age group. Once my youngest nephew, who was about five at the time, got separated from the group, and the staff had already figured out who he was and called my sister's room before the bigger kids even got around to telling her he was missing!

I tend to be a kid at heart, so I had a great time on this cruise. I did miss having a casino, and if it had been a bit longer, I think all the Mickey Mouse tributes would have gotten on my nerves, but as things were, it was a good vacation.

My family and I have been talking about taking a Disney cruise. Is there a lot for kids. I have five grandkids, and I want them to really have a good time.

This sounds like an excellent idea. I heard disney has their own "private" island they take cruisers to.

I think this might be a wonderful trip to take with kids. Everything is planned out, and agenda for the kids and people to babysit while the adults have a little fun as well. There's something to be said for having things planned out ahead of time. No, "I'm bored, there's nothing to do." At least on a cruise there's always something to do.
