I have never understood... 3 Years ago Karma: 0
I dont understand taking a cruise that has things like rock walls and other activities that can be enjoyed on dry land. Since you are on the ocean, it makes more sense to do things that are ocean oriented.

Of course, I speak from the position of a land locked Coloradan, but does anyone else feel the same way?

Absolutely. It costs more as well to be on the cruise, and I would feel trapped if I had to stay on any boat for an extended period of time.

I've always thought that a cruise is best when you have lots of ports to stop in and shop. Being trapped on a ship has too many limitations.

I'm with you Polly, as much as I love to cruise, I need those stops on dry land with the change of scenery. The longer the cruise, the more stops.

I don't see how anyone could do an Atlantic crossing. I would be bored to death...

Sage Mother, I agree with you, if I went on a cruise I would want it to be a special experience, so I would not want to do things that I could do on land.

I agree with you all somewhat. But honestly I would love a cruise just to laze around on deck with a good book and no kids for a few.
