Hubby and I have talked about maybe doing this. It seems like such a civilised way to see the world. Very relaxing and no running around airports etc. I love cruises and ships and the sea.

You don't see them advertised much any more, are they dying out as a holiday?

I can't handle being on a boat for more than a few hours at a time, so I wouldn't be able to appreciate it. The idea of going around the world is appealing though. I'd love to be able to do that by train.

my idea fo heaven though Lyndsey.. i could quite happily sit on a deckchair and stare off into the distance for hours on end

Lindsey I agree with you, I would hate to be on a ship but the idea of going round the world by train is really attractive, but it would be nice to go first class!

I would not mind a round the worls trip..but all in a cruise ship will be just too muuch for me...a mix of all would be nice like a plane a train somewhere....or on the road...

goodness so nobody fancies trailing smoothly around the world on a luxury liner where every need is catered for, with occasional side trips to interesting places on the route when the ship docks?
