How many of you have locked yourself out of your rooms? My sister-in-law and her aunt did this while we were in Vegas. They were so embarrassed.

I did this because I lost the keycard to get back into the room. They were very nice about the whole situation though.

No need to be embarrassed, debrajean. I'm sure we've all done this a time or two. I know I have, anyway! I'm so used to checking to make sure I have my *house* keys with me is to check for my house keys and walk out of the hotel room leaving the hotel card or key sitting on the bedside table.

I now am so worried about locking my keys in my car or the house or anywhere, I still find myself double-checking my purse to make sure I put them there, right after I dropped them in.

Only one time that I remember when we walked out without the keys... but another time, the key just didn't work no matter how we tried... had to get the manager and she couldn't open the door either. Finally it opened and there wasn't a problem with it after that.
