Reserving Townhouse 3 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Whew! I'm finally ready to reserve a room for our trip next month. This was a little longer than I usually wait, but I was hoping we could find a nice hotel that would fit our needs.

No such luck, *so* I found a great townhouse and I'll be reserving this afternoon. It's not dreadfully expensive and that surprised me... since it's a year-round tourist spot, I didn't think they'd have an off-season.

Anyhow, I can't wait... it looks great and our fur-baby is more than welcome because we made sure to ask that via phone *and* email. So it's time to whip out the ol' credit card and call. What a relief that will be!

A townhouse sounds like a great option for vacation accommodations.

We've stayed in condos in Florida a couple of times and enjoyed the extra space and a few meals cooked in the kitchen provided.

Yes, it's going to be great for us and although I hadn't even thought of the kitchen thing, you're very right, Taggart.

We'll have a full kitchen and a trip to Winn-Dixie (after I see the size of the fridge) instead of three meals a day at restaurants and the savings will help to offset the extra cost of a townhouse over what a hotel would cost. In fact, I find myself sitting here now wondering why we never did this before.

We've usually went on package vacations, where we book the flight with the accommodations.

The condo vacations had a different feel to them, and looking back I'd say they were more relaxing. The area we stayed in had everything within walking distance, but it wasn't a busy area like a hotel "strip" in Las Vegas or a destination like that.
