Looking for a great but affordable family vacation? Consider the Dells! We went there a couple of years ago for a family vacation and had an awesome time.

We saved a few bucks by renting a small cabin by the lake. These are often times cheaper than a hotel room and they also help you save money by not having to constantly go out to find something to do. You can hang out on the beach together!

Another really fun thing we did was get tickets to a speed boat ride. Be prepared to get wet! The driver takes you on a fast and wild ride and then stops on a dime, causing huge waves to drench everyone on the boat!

Wizard Quest was also something that our entire family had a fun time doing. It's right on the main drag at the Dells.. you can't miss it. It's basically a huge scavenger hunt. When you enter, they give your team a UPC bracelet and a clue card. You have to fill out the clues on the card from the rooms inside and from these clues, find hidden fairies! Once you find a fairy, you scan your UPC bracelet and that's your proof that you've found all of them.

We had a great time as a family vacationing here. The things we did were appropriate for all ages, and even my 18-year-old brother and friend enjoyed them (shocking I know!!!) Have fun!!!

The Dells are great. Also, not far away you will find the House on the Rock. Very interesting and a great place to visit. Plan a whole day though!
