If you're in the Kansas City area on a weekend during the fall(Labor Day to Columbus Day) don't forget to check out the Kansas City Renaissance Festival located off Highway 7 in Bonner Springs. It's been around for thirty years and features games, crafts, food, beer, psychics, lives shows, and a whole cast of colorful characters dressed in period-appropriate costume. It's a great place to have fun, so come one, come all!

I have never been to this one but I have been to Renaissance Festival here in my hometown and they are alot of fun. I would definently check it out if you are near.

I have been wishing that there would be one of these festivals close to me for many years... but I still haven't been able to find one within 100 miles... disappointing because I would love it and so would my daughter, I know.

Ah, Renaissance Faire, or as we used to call it Renfaire. I met my wife at the Los Angeles Renfaire in 1982.

I have always loved the sights, smells and sounds of Faire. To this day any type of British country music makes me feel good. I especially like to listen to The Chieftains, they have so many records out by themselves or paired with many great musicians from around the globe.
