Wine Lovers Tours has now announced its 2011 tours, led by Vin Marottoli who formerly taught French, Italian, and Spanish and now uses his knowledge of different languages to guide travelers through the famous wine-producing regions in various countries around the world.
The first tour of the year will be in Argentina. The tour is held during the harvest season from April 4-14 and begins in Buenos Aires. From there tourists take a 3-hour flight to Salta and Cafayate, which is home to Torrontes, which is the famous white wine-producing region in Argentina. The tour ends in Mendoza, which is Argentina's “Napa Valley” and tourists can also opt to add in a visit to Uruguay.
There are other tours on the 2011 agenda, such as a fall cruise from Portugal to Spain along the Douro River. Along the way tourists will visit wineries that lie along the terraced banks of the river. All tours will see guests staying in first-class accommodations, getting VIP service, and most meals are included. Multiple tours will be discounted.
