The major lines are doing 7 - 12 day cruises. Does anyone know of a good line for a 3 OR 4 day cruise in the Greek Isles for a fair price?

The first one that comes to mind is EasyCruise, sailing out of Athens / Piraeus for 4 nights to the Cyclades.

Do keep in mind if you are considering EasyCruise is that there is nothing even remotely "luxury" about it. It's meant to be the least expensive way to travel. But if you really only care about being someplace, it fills the bill.

There are a number of other companies running short schedules to the Greek Islands, but they primarily promote to the European market and package tour companies that offer a few days in Athens and a few days cruising.

You can track down more info about some of these companies at the Greek National Tourism Office >Sea Tourism page at

or drop them a note directly from the website.

Thank you for the info. Actually, I had looked into easycruise bit the port of calls are not what I am looking for. I wany to head to the islands with much historical significance such as Rhodes, Crete, Patmos and Kusadsi, Turkey.

I will check out the site. I also looked at Louis Cruises.

Thanks again.

Thank you for that _link_... I checked it out and you're right, it's not luxury, but it looks as if it wouldn't be *too* bad. The disappointing thing to me was the meal plans. It's sure not the buffet fare that many cruises offer.

That said, though, for a cruise to see the area and for someone seeking travel and not necessarily a pampering cruise, it looks great.

There are other cruise companies that actually go to those places. I was there. But I can't remember right now the name of the company. Their boats are not extremely big and they are not extremely luxurious, but all the meals are included and they even offer excursions on land that you can book in the ship.

Yes, the meals look a little disappointing.Do you think it be possible to buy bread, olives, cheese, etc, and take it on board for cabin picnics, or does the company _object_ to that?
