Five Day Packages? 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I was at a friend's place and he was surfing for all-inclusive packages at destination properties in Mexico and the Caribbean, and it sounded like there were some great deals out there.

I would have expected that in this economy, but I was a little surprised to hear that companies were offering five day packages as well as seven day trips. I guess this makes sense for those looking to spend a bit less.

Has anyone else here noticed this trend recently?

We have been seeing all sorts of deals. It just takes a bit of looking. One of our tricks is to find a good travel news site and subscribe to their rss feed.

This way you can get updated any time there are new items posted on their site.

I have noticed it. There are some great deals to be had if you just search for them instead of taking the first thing that you find.

There do seem to be a lot of deals popping up now for Europe, but many of them require booking, and in some cases, traveling before April 1 or May 1.

I suspect that these will pick up in late spring and throughout summer when the planes aren't quite as full as they hoped and the hotels have empty rooms...etc.

If it follows they way it usually does, you can get some great last minute deals for unfilled planes, hotel rooms...etc. Of course you have to make sure that the plane is going to were the lodgings are!
