Budget 4 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
I don't know if I found a bargain, but I just wanted to point out that I rented a car from them recently for a 4 day weekend, and they were very easy to work with and the price was very reasonable - I only paid $129. Is that the average? I had expected to pay more.

That seems pretty good to me. It has been awhile since I rented a car and then my husband was the one that did it. Did it have a limit on the miles you could use?

No, that was another good thing. It was unlimited miles! I had never actally rented a car before, but I just wanted to mention it, because it is not expensive as you might think, and someone might want to consider it, knowing the cost, maybe for a weekend getaway.

That is bad at all, I usually spend over 200 dollars for three so you caught a budget for real. I think they do credit checks now, did you have to do that when you rented your car?

The place I know of (not Budget) charges an average of $40 or $45 a day with unlimited miles. The $129 sounds pretty good, yes... especially if the little "surprise" charges were already calc'd in there.

Depending on the weekend, the car rentals have some offers that are really cheap! I have rented for $89 from Friday at noon and return Monday at 9am... I did that with AVIS, and it was pretty nice, including unlimited mileage.
Since I don't have a car now, I rent one when I need it. IN NY Enterprise was convenient because they picked me up and drop me off when done. But their rate was a bit more expensive than others.
