I use pet carriers for transporting my cats and small dog to see the vet or to go to kennels. I keep a stock of those puppy training pads to line the pet carriers (with extra padding underneath).

That sounds like a very good idea. I was looking around for carriers today and I found a really great one I think I'll buy... it has wheels so a lot easier for us to take for our road trips. And it's pink.

I like the idea of a carrier with wheels, even a cat can be heavy if you have to carry it too far. My cat would never forgive me if I bought him a pink carrier, he likes to think he is tough.

We went and picked it up on Saturday... it's great! Takes up a little more room in the car but she'll be more comfortable.

Yep, got the pink one... my husband tried to talk me into blue or green or tan... anything but pink, but I maintained that she's a girly girl and it needed to be pink. hehe Then we bought foam and hot pink soft fabric for a cushion.

Yes, I know it sounds spoiled but our road trips are nearly a thousand miles each way. She sleeps most of the time in the car, so making it comfortable seems to be a small thing to do for her comfort for being such a good trooper.

That makes sense. If you take a cat on a road trip it is important to make sure that it is comfortable annd protected.

I wish they would make some sort of disguise for a cat carrier. Every time my cat sees the carrier he vanishes without trace!

justontime,

That is so true! If we so much as touch one of the carriers and it makes any sound, all of our cats scatter and can't be found.
