Recycle your old electronics for free with the US Postal Service's new "Mail Back" program.

The program, allows you to discard your used electronics in an environmentally friendly manner. The USPS provides free envelopes in 1,500 post offices to handle everything from inkjet cartridges to cell phones and MP3 p_layer_s.

I know that the Staples stores all over Canada have drop-off bins for used electronics, but it's great to hear that you have a mail-in service that even provides envelopes.

That sounds like a great program, using the postal system like that.

I live near a Staples here in Canada, and I wasn't aware that they will take old electronics. Good for them, too.

I have seen places that will accept old cell phones. I think there's a program that refurbishes them for another market somewhere.

There are charities that will take your old cell phones and make them into personal alarms for abused women...

Others will recycle your ink cartridges, and even old spectacles.

There are many ways to make good use of things you no longer need.
