Yes, I heard this and I'd *so* like to visit the statue. I know that the admission to the crown is limited, but I'd be happy to just see it from the harbor actually, or stay on the lower levels.

I also heard (and was stunned by the fact) that Lady Liberty's "shell" is just the thickness of two pennies. That completely surprised me.

Katharina, I think I would also rather see it from the outside than actually go inside. but I can understand why most people would be keen to go to the top.
