Jet Fuel Tax Eliminated for International Flights in B.C. Monday, 24 December 2012 In an attempt to implement a new aviation strategy, the B.C. government has eliminated the jet fuel tax on overseas flights. The goal is to promote B.C. as the preferred gateway to the Pacific, and in turn, increase the number of jobs in the industry. Flights to Fiji Rescheduled Due to Tropical Cyclone Sunday, 16 December 2012 With Tropical Cyclone Evan wreaking havoc on Fiji, all Air Pacific flights to Apia, Samoa have been rescheduled. The airline issued a statement in which they have advised their passengers that all flights to and from Apia have been rescheduled for later on Sunday, December 16. The new schedule will have all flights from Nadi departing at 1:25 pm and arriving in Apia at 4:16 pm. On Wednesday, the three biggest airlines in the country, Delta, United, and American, announced that they are just weeks away from offering internet service on their international flights.
