Qbic hotel Competition for the business of budget-conscious travelers has never been more vigorous – and hotels are following the example of airlines, feverishly working to meet the increasing demand for affordable accommodations.

As reported by CNN.com, a report by market analyst Mintel found that the UK budget hotel market grew by 38 percent between 2002 and 2006, three times that of the overall hotel market. As high-end hotels are seeing drop-offs in business, less pricey hotels are seeing a surge in business.
