No Free Meals On United Airlines

airplane interior As of Oct. 1, United Airlines no longer offers complimentary meal service for coach-class customers, and fliers aren’t happy about it. Food will be available if you’re willing to pay (you’ll find the menu here), although it’s still free in Business class. The change has been greeted with outrage by many travelers, especially those flying between Washington Dulles airport and Europe.

Randy Petersen, publisher of InsideFlyer magazine, told USA Today, "In a single day nearly 35,000 frequent fliers read about this topic and nearly 600 have added comments. That's a lot of buzz for a single topic.” And most of it is negative.

Most events are pretty affordable, priced under $100, with over 100,000 tickets going for just $25. This includes many of the more popular events, like luge, bobsled, giant slalom and speed skating. And even the cheap seats should have a pretty good view – Vancouver’s biggest competition venue, Canada Hockey Place, seats around 18,000 people. Flaws In New TSA Watch List

TSA Inspector Lawmakers have called on government intelligence authorities to correct flaws in the U.S. government terrorist-watch-list system after a congressional investigation found that the system is full of flaws and “on the verge of collapse,” according to an article in the Wall Street Journal.
