Emirates is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world and they have plans to launch new flights to India to meet the growing demand. However, they have hit a snag, according to airline president, Tim Clark. Clark has said the obstacles they face are on the Indian sub-continent and they have nothing to do with funding. The fleet expansion has no funding issues and they expect to increase revenue by 18%-20% during the current fiscal year. |

The highest court in the European Union has declared that airlines are responsible for compensating customers who are on connecting flights and are at least three hours late arriving at their final destination. The ruling came in on Tuesday and it made it clear that it does not matter if the original flight was not delayed beyond the limits that have been imposed by European Union law. |

There has been a new survey of tourism operators conducted by NSW Transport and Tourism and acting CEO Trent Zimmerman said an overwhelming majority of the respondents said it is vitally important that Sydney Airport have more flexibility to increase capacity in order to allow, which includes raising the cap of flights per hour from 80 to 90. Zimmerman said this survey once again shows the desire of those in the tourist to have the restraints on flights at the airport removed. |
