Airbus showed off an electric plane at a recent air show; this could introduce cheaper flights

Airbus had a lot of planes to show off at the recent Farnborough International Air Show, but one in particular garnered a lot of interest: the E-Fan 2.0. It’s an electric plane, one of the world’s first with fans that are completely electric. The E-Fan 2.0 is the company’s first step in making an electric commercial plane that will seat 80 to 90 people.

FAA lifts ban on Tel Aviv flights

After a meeting between U.S. and Israel security officials, the Federal Aviation Administration has lifted its ban on all flights to Tel Aviv despite the fighting that is ongoing in Gaza. The FAA imposed the ban on Tuesday after rocket fire hit a small town about a mile from the Ben Gurion International Airport. The ban was lifted at 11:45 pm Wednesday.

New flights to Florida offered by WestJet

WestJet will start operating direct flights to Florida on November 1. According to the Winnipeg Airport Authority, the flights will run between Winnipeg and Fort Lauderdale every Saturday. The departure from James Richardson International Airport will be at 7:30 am and the return flight will arrive back in Winnipeg at 5:16 pm.
