Weather affects Harbour Air over Vancouver Island

Harbour Air was forced to go into "fog mode" this week due to haze in the skies caused by the wildfires. This haze was heavy and settled over areas of Vancouver Island. The airline's fog mode meant that passengers had to deal with being re-routed due to cancelled flights.

Safety violations under investigation by GoAir and Air India

Both GoAir and Air India are now being looked at for possible safety violations for flights they are offering to Leh. The aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviatio (DGCA) is looking at the allegations and has started an investigation. Depending on its findings a notice could be issued to each of the airlines.

Water woes aboard Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific is now offering bottled water to passengers on 14 of its planes after samples taken from its drinking water tank fell short on standards. The company is now going about proper sterilization and the samples were only taken from a small number of its planes. According to the airline the bottled water on the large number of planes is a precautionary measure for crew and passengers.
