Flights to Havana now available from Orlando

With the travel restrictions to Cuba easing up heavily in the last year flights are now beginning to pop up all over the country. Orlando International Airport is celebrating its first flights to Havana Cuba, with the first one departing today. The flight is direct and takes just 90 minutes in length aboard the Boeing 737, which can carry over 120 passengers. Flights take place on Wednesdays and Sundays and are priced around the $430 mark. The flights are operated by a company out of Tampa by the name of Island Travel and Tours.

Passengers heading out of Charlottetown Airport are being told to leave extra time and arrive early if they have a morning or evening departure. This is the peak travel season and with that said there are more aircraft than normal and those aircraft are also bigger. What this means is that the check-in and security line-ups are much longer and slower moving.
Weather affects Harbour Air over Vancouver Island

Harbour Air was forced to go into "fog mode" this week due to haze in the skies caused by the wildfires. This haze was heavy and settled over areas of Vancouver Island. The airline's fog mode meant that passengers had to deal with being re-routed due to cancelled flights.
