American Airlines has announced its new AAdvantage “Mystery Miles” promotion, which is in celebration of the recent launch of their AAdvantage social media channels. From now through until March 31, 2011, all AAdvantage members can simply visit the facebook.com/AAdvantage page and “like” it and they will receive between 100 and 100,000 AAdvantage miles. However, the exact number of miles earned will remain a mystery, which is part of the fun. All visitors to the Facebook page have to do is click on the Mystery Miles tab and they will go on a Mystery Miles journey. The end of the journey will see the random generation of Mystery Miles, which will be deposited in the member's account within 3-5 business days. There is also an AAdvantage Twitter channel the two social media channels are the first to be dedicated to earning miles with any U.S. airline loyalty program.
