Alaska Airlines has expanded their inflight entertainment option by introducing the new digEplayer, which debuted on flights this past week. This is a great option for passengers who are taking longer flights and the touch-screen navigation allows users to easily and quickly access the entertainment they desire. The system is also lightweight and small compared to the system used previously. The digEplayer system boasts interactive games, more new-release movies and television programs, ReelzChannel Hollywood programming, and the NFL Network. In addition, for an additional fee the system can connect to the internet via Alaska Airlines' Gogo inflight Wi-Fi network. The digEplayer is available on the majority of flights lasting longer than 3 hours. The price varies with the length of the flight, with a $14 fee for flights longer than 4.5 hours and an $8 fee for flights less than 4.5 hours. There is a $2 discount when the digEplayer is reserved in advance. |
