American Airlines is once again making things easier for their passengers and their employees. Now employees who are using the airline's mobile service called Your Assistance Delivered Anywhere (YADA) now have the ability to print out boarding passes for passengers anywhere in the airport. This new development is part of an effort by American Airlines to eventually offer YADA at every gate in each airport serviced by the airline, ultimately resulting in better communication between American Airlines employees and agents across the system. This will help them stay on to of sudden changes in operations, such as those due to bad weather. Currently, American Airlines has equipped the following airports with the YADA mobile device: Dallas/Fort Worth; Chicago; New York (both at JFK and LaGuardia); Miami; Albuquerque New Mexico; Boston; St. Louis; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. A pilot of YADA was launched in the summer of 2009 with Boston as the test region. |
