 The summer travel season is almost upon us and Amtrak is making it much easier for those who will be traveling. The company has lowered their fares on their Northeast Regional service so that passengers will save as much as 25% off of the lowest available fares. The catch is that tickets must be booked a minimum of 14 days in advance for travel between June 2 through September 3.
Here are some examples of the great fares that are being offered: Boston to/from New York, NY - $49; Boston to/from Providence, RI - $9; Boston to/from Washington, DC - $65; Washington to/from Philadelphia, PA -$33; Washington to/from Baltimore, MD -$11; Washington to/from Trenton, NJ -$46. The special fares are only for trains running between Boston and Washington and apply to one-way coach fares. There are no upgrades allowed and the tickets are non-refundable, although exchanges may be made. Other conditions may also apply and for more details, please visit Amtrak's web site. |
