Ok, so I admit it – I am one of those dorks that buys the audio tours at the museum and reads the cards on the wall next to each piece in an exhibit. So I totally get the idea of audio tours that give you an in-depth look at a particular city. Right now, if you’re planning in being in Boston anytime soon, you can try one out for free! Or purchase walking tours for other cities.Audissey Guides are downloadable, one-hour MP3 audio walking tours that combine locals doing the narration, music and real time explanation of the unusual sites you will see - sort of travel information for the ipod generation. Tours of Boston, Chicago and Seattle are available now, with Miami Beach, Hollywood, Calif., as well as New Orleans, are coming soon. You can purchase them online at www.audisseyguides.com The current free sample, so you can get a taste, covers Boston’s Harborwalk. The tour begins at Christopher Columbus Park down to to the South Boston Waterfront. Learn about everything from the history to the biology of Boston Harbor. You can pick up your copy at http://www.bostonharborwalk.com/. |
