Cleveland has been a no go for flights today. Flights both into and out of the airport have been canceled due to a severe winter storm that is pushing through the area. The storm is actually lake-effect snow that is forecast to last until Tuesday afternoon leaving behind 6-12 inches of snow tonight and 4-8 additional inches tomorrow. The area has already seen significant snowfall, with as much as 11 inches having fallen in some areas. Schools in the Corry Area and Millcreek Township were closed for the day, as was school transportation in other areas. It is important for travelers to check in with the weather forecast for updates and with their airline before heading to the airport. See the original Google News article for more details. |
