Fuerte de Samaipata - designated as a UNESCO World Heritage location, this is an ancient site dating back to the 14th century. The huge sculptured rock, is a unique testimony to pre-Hispanic traditions and beliefs, and has no parallel anywhere in the Americas.
Tiwanaku - located on the southern shore of Lake Titicaca along the border between Bolivia and Peru. At its height, between A.D. 500 and 950 the residents built a decent sized city. Religious artifacts from the city are spread across the southern Andes.
Sucre - the first capital of Bolivia was founded in the early 16th century by the Spanish.
Lake Titicaca - the highest navigable lake on earth at 12,580 feet above sea level. It is located on the border between Peru and Bolivia.
