British Airways Adds Second Bag Fee
Monday, 03 August 2009
British Airways British Airways is changing its baggage regulations by adding a second bag fee for all passengers who book flights for October 7 onward. If the bag is checked at the airport the fee is $60, but it is $48 if checked online. The fee for the third bag is $140 at the airport and $48 if checked online. These fees will also apply to sports baggage.

The new baggage fees will affect economy class travelers (World Traveler) going to and coming from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and Argentina, but the fees for travelers on domestic flights in the UK and Europe are different at $65 each for the second and third bag and $52 if checked in online.

The airline does offer two free checked bags for World Traveler Plus and Club Europe passengers and three free checked bags for First and Club World passengers. All passengers should check with the airline for specific dimensions and weight restrictions.

Full details can be found on the British Airways web site.
