British Airways pulled its flights to the Libyan capital of Tripoli a little more than a year ago due to violence that took over the region. Protesters came up against Moammar Gadhafi and the ensuing violence caused British Airways to pull their flights. Now, after their hiatus and after discussing the situation with the British government and authorities in Libya, British Airways will return to the country. The airline will make three weekly flights from London's Heathrow International Airport to Tripoli, starting on May 1, 2012. This will once again open up the region for both leisure and business travelers. See the original Google News article for more details. |
