Continental Airlines Adds More New York To Heathrow Flights
Monday, 01 February 2010
It has been announced by Continental Airlines that in 2010 it will expand the number of flights it makes between Newark Liberty International Airport and London/Heathrow. Currently, the airline has three flights scheduled daily. They will add a fourth in March and a fifth in October. This will mean a total of seven daily Continental Airlines' flights to Heathrow, with five coming from New York and two coming from Houston.

In addition to the increased number of flights, the airline will also be adding new flat bed seats in the BusinessFirst section for all flights going to Heathrow, effective June 1, 2010. Continental Airline's chairman, president and chief executive officer, Jeff Smisek, said the New York to Heathrow route is a flagship route and that the airline is excited about the changes they are offering their passengers. The flights to Heathrow will allow for easy connections to flights with Star Alliance partner British Midland.
