American Way magazine, the inflight magazine of American Airlines, recently launched its 9th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest. All it takes to be a contender is to visit www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior by Aug. 31, and fill out a simple survey, as well as complete a series of fun tasks set forth by the American Way editors.

The top five Road Warrior finalists will be chosen by the American Way editorial staff and then American Way readers will determine the Grand Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize winners by voting online for their favorite contestant.

Over 50,000 travelers have entered the annual contest over the past eight years in hopes of winning the coveted Road Warrior title and amazing prizes, which this year include a Grand Prize of 2 million Hilton HHonors® bonus points and 1 million AAdvantage® bonus miles. One Second Prize consists of one Bose® Lifestyle® 48 DVD home entertainment system, one Bose® Wave® music system, one pair of Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones, and one five-night trip for two to the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort from Hilton Caribbean. Three Third Prizes include a three-night vacation for two to the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort from Hilton Caribbean. All five winners will also receive a $500 SkyMall® gift card. And, all five of the newest Road Warriors will be featured on the cover and throughout the March 15, 2011, issue of American Way with their travel tales, photos, and more.

Being a veteran traveler means experiencing all kinds of adventures, which helps make a true Road Warrior stronger, smarter, and more equipped to take on the next travel challenge. Two of the four contest tasks this year include writing an essay and identifying several aerial views of cities around the world.

Entries for the 9th Annual American Way Road Warrior Search will be accepted until Aug. 31, 2010, at 11:59 p.m. CDT. The entry form and Official Rules are available online at www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior. Winners will be announced in the March 15, 2011, issue of American Way.
