PLEASE NOTE: A change on an airline ticket usually refers to a change in date of travel or flight numbers, it does not refer to a change in either route, destination or airline. So if you booked a flight from San Francisco to Rome, the change penalty does not mean that you can change the itinerary to some thing like San Francisco to Paris or change your flights to another airline. You would have to cancel the flights for that and reorder, not change them.
