Intense fog in London forced London Heathrow to cancel 120 departing flights and 104 arriving flights over a period of two days, starting on Sunday. London City Airport was also affected by the fog. Now the flight schedule is getting back to normal and there are now no flight delays. However, a spokesperson at the airport urges passengers to check in with their airlines before they travel. Sunday was a chaotic day at Heathrow as airlines made alternative arrangements for passengers. Some passengers were booked on different flights, some were given hotel accommodations and many of those traveling domestically were taken to their destination via coaches. One of the biggest complaints from delayed passengers was that passport control and immigration for foreign visitors was very slow and disorganized.
