Heathrow will expand flights to the regions
Monday, 23 May 2016
Heathrow made some announcements on Monday about its third runway expansion plans. The airport launched an election-style manifesto in which it will promise to increase connections to areas not already served by internal flights, create jobs, and improve the economy.

The airport already directly links to eight cities including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Leeds, Belfast City, Inverness, Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Manchester, but at least six more routes will be created. The cities that will be added to the list of those served include Isle of Man, Belfast International, Jersey, Liverpool, Humberside, and Newquay. Last week the airport promised to reduce night flights and noise pollution.
