Holland America Set To Explore Seven Continents, 65 Countries In 2011

Holland America The year 2011 is shaping up to be a big one for Holland America, which is aiming to sail to all seven continents and visit 65 countries in the process. Two of the Holland America ships, the ms Amsterdam and the ms Prinsendam, will each set out on incredible voyages. Between the two ships four itineraries will take a total of 308 days and will also include landing in 65 countries and a total of 121 ports of call.

The Amsterdam will sail two itineraries. First, a 110-day Grand World Voyage will take place starting in January. Then a 70-day Grand Asia & Australia voyage will take place in the fall. The Prinsendam will begin with a 66-day Grand South American & Antarctica cruise and then will go on a 62-day Grand Africa & Mediterranean cruise. CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs, for Holland America Line website, Richard D. Meadows, says that each of these cruises is an experience of a lifetime during which will create lasting friendships and amazing adventures.
