Things to do and see when visiting India:

Taj Mahal - One of the great wonders of the world is actually a mausoleum built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife.
Qutb Minar and its Monuments - Built in the early 13th century a few miles south of Delhi, the red sandstone tower of Qutb Minar is more then 237 feet high. The surrounding archaeological area contains funerary buildings, notably the magnificent Alai-Darwaza Gate.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya - Formerly known as The Prince of Wales Museum was built in 1905 to commemorate the first visit of King George V to India.
Humayun's Tomb - Built in 1570, and considered a forerunner of the Taj Mahal, it is of particular cultural significance as the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent.
Victoria Memorial Hall - On the death of Queen Victoria in January 1901, Lord Curzon, who was then Viceroy of India, introduced the idea of creating a fitting memorial to the Queen. King George V, then the Prince of Wales, laid the foundation stone on January 4, 1906 and it was formally opened to the public in 1921.
Lalbagh Botanical Garden - A wonderful 240-acre botanical garden houses some over 1,000 species of plants including some 100-year-old trees.
