JetBlue Airways has announced that they will add new flights to Dallas come May 2012. This will be non-stop service from Boston to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. JetBlue is the second airline to announce new flights to Dallas since American Airlines, which is based in Dallas, announced their bankruptcy last week. JetBlue will have three flights per day from Boston to Dallas, making Dallas the 71st destination for JetBlue. Spokeswoman Alison Croyle said that JetBlue had set its sights on Dallas back in 2008 and renewed their goal of servicing Dallas last year, long before American Airlines was in trouble. Of course, American is still operating 85% of the flights out of Dallas, so they aren't out of the game. The other airline to offer service to Dallas is Spirit Airlines, with flights from Dallas to Orlando, Boston, Atlanta, and New York starting early next year.
