JetBlue Issuing Refunds to Stranded Passengers
Sunday, 06 November 2011
JetBlue has begun issuing refunds to passengers from five different flights who were stranded on the tarmac in Connecticut last Saturday, one flight stranded for nearly eight hours. A spokeswoman for the airline stated that the airline had presented pass with a letter on Saturday as well as a roundtrip voucher to be used for future travel. The airline customer service is also calling each customer to apologize in person.

The flight had departed Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was bound for Newark, New Jersey, but due to poor weather conditions the flight had to be diverted. The airline is also cooperating with an investigation conducted by the Department of Transportation concerning the events that took place over the weekend and the airline also plans on conducting its own internal investigation so that they will be able to learn from the situation.
