Satmetrix 2011 Net Promoter® industry rankings has awarded JetBlue Airways of New York the with the highest customer loyalty rating for the second year in a row. The results are based on a Net Promoter Score (NPS) and the NPS for JetBlue was 60%, which is far higher than the industry average of 45% that resulted from the ranking of 8 of the industry's top airlines. The results are based on customer ratings of each of the airlines, these ratings in turn based on whether they would recommend the airline to a friend or family member. A Promoter is considered someone who gives a rating of 9 or 10 and a Detractor is a person who give a rating of less than 6. More than 22,000 consumers were surveyed and each consumer rated a maximum of 2 airlines they used during the past 12 months. In addition, different aspects of a customer's experience were rated. These were things such as customer service, product features, and overall value. |
