Keep Your Cancellation Confirmations
Tuesday, 27 November 2007
Hotel room We all do so much online these days that itís easy to forget how much can go wrong when you donít talk to an actual human being. If youíve made a reservation for a hotel or rental car and then canceled your reservation using an online system, always keep your cancellation number. It's also a good idea to keep the website information, any login information you used as part of the original booking and the cancellation and a customer service phone number if you can find one on the website.

Itís a simple thing, but it can save you money and headaches in case something goes wrong and youíre mistakenly charged a no-show fee or if the charge gets processed even though you canceled. Keep the cancellation number through at least two billing cycles and check your credit card statements Ė that way, if an error has been made you can call customer service and set them straight with a minimum of frustration.
