On Sunday Kingfisher cancelled 10 additional flights, departing from Mumbai, causing problems for many passengers. This came after a promise by the airline to update its list of scheduled and cancelled flights, a promise that was not upheld. The result of the uncertainty of Kingfisher flights has caused many passengers to want to cancel their tickets and travel agents are encouraging the airline to waive the cancellation fee. There are a number of passengers that have booked on Kingfisher, but who want to cancel and switch to another airline, but Kingfisher said that they won't waive the cancellation fee unless the flight is actually cancelled. Business travelers are paying the cancellation fee and switching because they cannot afford to risk a last-minute cancellation, but other passengers are left hanging as the airline does not announce cancellations until within 24 hours prior to departure, leaving passengers little time to make alternative arrangements.
