While it once was the ideal to book travel plans well in advance, the new standard in travel is to book last-minute. The rough economic times saw families and individuals taking far fewer vacations and now that the economy is recovering, people are taking it slow when it comes to taking that much-needed time to get away from the stresses of life.
While there are certainly plenty of last-minute travel deals to be had when it comes to airfares, accommodations, and car rentals, for those traveling internationally, there is a certain amount of time that is required for the appropriate travel documentation to be acquired.
