Hurricane Earl is on its way and in light of the approaching storm many of the major airlines are making temporary changes to their change fees, either lowering them significantly or eliminating them all together. The goal behind these changes is ease the burden on any who have travel plans at this time. Airlines that are accommodating changes for passengers include AirTran, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Frontier, Southwest, Spirit Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Virgin America.
Flights that will be affected by Hurricane Earl can be rescheduled through September 4. It is important to check with each airline individually to determine how to make flight changes and to identify the affected airports and the new dates allowed for the changes. Some airlines require changes to be made online and others require passengers to phone directly. Airline websites will help passengers find detailed information on changes. In addition, the Lede blog posted an up-to-date list of storm warnings this morning. |
