National Park Foundation Launches 2011 Photo Contest
Friday, 03 June 2011
The Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the U.S. Forest Service have teamed up with the National Park Foundation to launch the 2011 Share the Experience Photo Contest. The goal behind this annual contest is to encourage people of all ages to explore the national parks of the U.S. and to take plenty of photos through which they can share their experiences.

The contest runs through December 31, 2011 and is for those aged 13 and older. Neil Mulholland, President and CEO of the National Park Foundation, says that the photo contest is a wonderful way to see the nation's national parks through the eyes of its citizens. Those who wish to enter the contest can do so at sharetheexperience.org/ and the grand prize for this year’s contest is a 4-day trip to a national park. In addition, the winning photo will be featured on the 2013 Federal Recreational Lands Pass.
