Companies in the cruise line industry is debuting a number of new cruise ships in an attempt to expand their fleets in a time of declining sales figures. There will be a total of 12 new ships that will set sail between now and the summer of 2011 and these new ships will serve all levels of cruise ship travel.
So what's in store for travelers? How about Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas? This ship will have the very first Guest store at sea and will allow guests to enjoy a version of the musical CHICAGO as well as a Brazilian churruscaria restaurant. Then there is Cunard's Queen Elizabeth, which pays homage to its namesake, with decor from the late 1930s as well as some of the original items and fixtures from the original ship. Other new ships include Carnival's Carnival Magic, Disney's Disney Dream, and the Oceania Marina. Alex Saint, CEO of CruiseLineFans.com, says that this is an exciting time for the cruise line industry and that companies are being more innovative in how they serve their passengers. |
