Boost Airline is a new low-cost airline that will begin service in Australia in 2012. Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, welcomes the new airline, saying that they will make it possible for more people to visit Australia, boosting the Australian tourism industry. The first flight will be between Sydney and Singapore and flights will be on Beoing 777 aircraft. Boost Airline is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and connecting Australia to Singapore is a boon because Singapore is becoming an important hub for the tourism industry in the region. The airline looks to include China and Australia in its flight schedule during the first year and eventually expand to include India, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
