In the future airports will have a new way to communicate with their passengers thanks to FlightStats. The FlightStats Airport Portal is a portal that allows operations staff in airports to access FlightStats database and messaging platform, which will allow airports to communicate directly with passengers, publish up-to-date flight information, and improve passengers awareness of airport operations.

The FlightStats Airport Portal uses the new TripTalk messaging platform to distribute messages that have the potential to reach millions of people via a wide range of channels. Through the communication capability, the airport can update information related to baggage and gate changes, flight changes, and more. The information is relayed to passengers, regardless of the method used to access flight information. The airport can also relay information on the operations of the facility, including information on the day's on-time arrivals and departures, cancellations, and what is currently happening at the airport. This includes the ability to monitor operations at connecting airports to determine any issues with connecting flights.
